  • Morenci Turquoise & Copper Peyote Bird Bolo Tie [SG-285]

This old pawn Navajo bolo tie is crafted in a bold shield-shaped sterling silver slide measuring 2 ⅝″ by 1 ⅝″, set on a 20 ½″ braided leather cord with handmade silver tips. At the top of the shield rests a ⅞″ Morenci turquoise cabochon.

The Morenci Mine, located in southeastern Arizona, produced some of the most sought-after turquoise in the world before its closure to turquoise mining in the 1980s. Renowned for its brilliant blue stones with dramatic pyrite inclusions, Morenci turquoise is now scarce and highly collectible.

Beneath the stone, a hand-cut copper peyote bird overlay takes center stage, flanked by four silver raindrops. In Navajo tradition, the peyote bird symbolizes spiritual guidance, protection, and strength.
