This monumental Navajo cuff by Jim Robinson showcases a massive Blue Gem turquoise cabochon, measuring over two inches tall (2 1/8" x 1 5/8"). Known for its vivid blues and greens with matrix, Blue Gem turquoise is one of the most prized varieties ever mined, with production ceasing decades ago. Stones of this size and quality are exceptionally rare today.
The bracelet is built in heavy sterling silver, with a serpentine deep-stamped border, silver rope frame, and overlay of large silver drops and leaves. Its tapered triple-bar construction adds both balance and presence.
This cuff is not only a work of Navajo silversmithing, but also a documented piece of jewelry history. The bracelet was crafted by the Navajo artist Jim Robinson. Published in the book, Indian Jewelry on The Market 1996. A Schiffer book, pages 25 and 32. Untouched original pawn patina.
