This old pawn bolo tie is crafted from heavy sterling silver in an oval form, richly decorated with deep hand-stamped designs radiating outward in a sunburst pattern. At the center, a green-blue turquoise cabochon with natural matrix is paired with a red Mediterranean coral cabochon, both set in serrated bezels and accented with silver drops.
Mediterranean coral was historically imported into the Southwest from Italy, prized for its deep red hue and spiritual symbolism. Paired with turquoise, the two stones reflect a classic Navajo design motif.
The slide measures approx. 3.5” x 2” and is paired with a 35” braided leather cord finished with long, old-style silver tips. Unsigned but clearly handmade, and the silver shows a beautiful aged patina.
