  • Coin Turquoise Bear Claw Bracelet [SG-178]

This Navajo cuff by silversmith E. Piaso combines two powerful collector elements: a historic 1884 Morgan silver dollar and two glowing spiderweb turquoise stones. The coin sits at the center of the bracelet, framed by turquoise cabochons in a traditional bear claw–style design.

Incorporating U.S. silver dollars into Navajo jewelry became common in the early-to-mid 20th century, when silversmiths repurposed coins as both silver source material and decorative centerpieces. Unlike later cast reproductions, this is a real U.S. coin integrated into the bracelet, making it both jewelry and artifact.

The sterling silver band is heavily stamped and deeply worked, with serrated bezels and strong Navajo motifs. Natural untouched pawn patina.
